Following the announcement that Symantec will split into two independently traded companies, my duties include onboarding new Value Added Distributors, and enabling channel partners to position and sell the new Information Management solutions.

My tasks included assessing and restructuring distribution across the region; Poland, Austria, Czech, Slovakia and Switzerland. I was also entrusted with the project of conceiving and executing a distribution strategy for Central & Eastern Europe (Rumania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Albania and the Balkan republics).

As a member of the Swiss management team my responsibility encompassed all non-direct, enterprise/global business. Challenges included leading and maintaining a team of eight in a matrix organization through a period of rapid change and restructuring.

Leading and coordinating a team of five, my primary brief was the rollout and implementation of a new value based partner program.

Following the merge with VERITAS my distribution role expanded to include the setting up and running of local channel enablement activities for volume products as well as managing small business partners.

My first assignment at Symantec involved on-boarding and collaborating with Value Added Distributors. In 2006 Symantec merged with VERITAS, necessitating communication and implementation of a new; Vision & Strategy, Partner Program and licensing modules.

My primary responsibility encompassed; leading and coaching a team of six; relationship management with five vendors (Microsoft, Symantec, Adobe, Corel and Marcomedia); forecasting, budgeting, P+L management, and the implementation and execution of marketing plans.
