Work with new clients on data strategy, integration methods and ensure that it aligns with business requirements. Work with several applications in depth including, PeopleSoft, Taleo, Sumtotal, SuccessFactors, PeopleFluent and Cognos.

Developed an As-Is perspective of the business intelligence environments within Pan-IST and Global Oil. From those As-Is perspectives, developed roadmaps on future development of the business intelligence architecture through adherence of standards and processes. Created a Center of Information (COI) for the Informatica shared service environment (ISE), where I gathered all BP ETL data integration and development standards for Informatica and created a forum so that those resources could be shared.

Help several clients initiate and develop business intelligence center of excellence as well as architect business intelligence applications at an OEM level with either BusinessObjects or Cognos.

Worked with the Global Major Accounts (GMA) for the Life Sciences industry. Architect and managed Cognos installations for several large healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. Ensured that proper exposure of Cognos BI tools were properly deployed and managed and that data management was properly optimized (quality and speed).

Worked as an architect, worked with large healthcare organizations (Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC and WebMD) on architecting and designing business intelligence platforms (COGNOS & Business Objects) and data transformations (Informatica) into large ERP applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and Lawson.

As an Engagement Manager is to act as a liaison between the client and Business Objects. I managed, architect and most of the time deliver complex business intelligence and data management projects. Projects included large billing and claims programs within the Healthcare industry. Delivering responsibilities included setting up a data warehouse for Fortune 500 clients. Most of my clients were integrating a large ERP system within their data warehouses, such as SAP, Lawson or PeopleSoft.

Worked with several clients with their reporting systems. Brought in over $500K of new business in through seminars and other marketing campaigns. Established and maintained several partnerships with Crystal Decisions, Consulting, Training and Enterprise (Product Sales) partnerships. Created SQL Server & Oracle data warehouses & OLAP cubes, utilized ETL tools such as COGNOS DecisionStream, Oracle Data Warehouse Builder, Informatica, DTS and Hummingbird.

Worked as an independent consultant for several clients. Responsibilities includes database and business intelligence development and training on Business Objects, Crystal Decisions, Actuate, COGNOS and Hyperion Solutions.

Programmer/ Analyst for many departments. Work with batch jobs in AS/400 and UNIX network. Utilized Seagate Crystal Reports and COGNOS to report off of various databases and tables on PeopleSoft 7.5. Query AS/400 network, using RPG. Created and administered Informix, Oracle, Access and Tivoli databases on UNIX and Windows NT platforms. Administered Seagate Info and helped tie interaction with Exchange Server. Scheduled jobs for data warehouse in Autosys and COGNOS DecisionStream.

Operated, monitored, and maintained mainframe software and hardware. Monitoring functions included network management through Netview 6000. Processed banking transactions from a network of ATM’s from several financial institutions. Also checked batch job’s JCL in Tandem or IBM MVS network. Was part of the movement group, in where we chose network providers based on cost, reliability and network. Proficient in mainframe software packages for Tandem and IBM mainframe systems.

Provided technical support for customers dealing with ISDN (PRI & BRI), T1, T3, data communications, Travel Cards, Frame Relay, toll-free service and switched services (DEX 500 & DMS 250). Entered trouble tickets in RUMBA system on AS/400, and in Clarify system, reported call center statistics from Lucent ACD and Clarify CRM in Crystal Reports and COGNOS Impromptu. Completed JD Edwards proof of concept and implementation. Updated AS/400 database, user files.

911 Team Leader, in charge of 15 + soldiers in a 911 call center. Duties included scheduling, technical training, management cost analysis and physical training. Also was in charge of NCIC, Motorola Dispatch and post security system. Queried against criminal statistics database (MS Access) using SQL and Crystal Reports 4.5.
