Implementing data preparation capabilities in SAP Data Intelligence, a data management solution to discover, connect, enrich and orchestrate data across the distributed IT landscape.

Developed data transformation and data profiling capabilities in SAP Agile Data Preparation, a self-service data preparation application allowing business users to explore, integrate, and transform data.

Integrated the schema mapping algorithm of the tool ++Spicy into Stratosphere, a cluster and cloud computing framework for Big Data analytics, to extend its query language Meteor. Processed schema mappings defined by using ++Spicy or Meteor.

Developed web applications to sample and subset large amounts of data for fast data analysis. Created workflow diagrams to visualize and browse data transformations in the BigSheets component of InfoSphere BigInsights, IBM’s Hadoop-based solution for Big Data analytics. Wrote and presented user stories to the Design Review Board.

Provided a framework to integrate heterogeneous Open Government Data from the EU and US. Applied methods for data cleansing, schema matching, detection, and fusion of near-duplicate entries across multiple data sources in a scalable and distributed environment. Integrated and customized the Information Workbench, fluid Operations’ platform for developing Linked Data applications, to visualize and query the generated RDF data.

Implemented a program to automatically process user requests for data network access. Created a user-friendly program to maintain the staff data with access restrictions. Integrated a regular update function for both programs.

Created a database on the skills of the employees and the analysis devices in the laboratory. Developed a front-end to maintain the data.
