Claims Practices and Solutions is the foundational element accountable for building the system needed to enable the claims organization to meet its mission. Accountabilities include: Claims Standards and Best Practices, Risk and Compliance Standards, Process Design and Reengineering, Continuous Process Improvement, Functional Training Curriculum Content, Functional Claims Project Management, Solutions Design, and Subject Matter Expert on IT Solutions.

Served as Regional Vice President (RVP) in multiple Auto & Liability Claim Service Centers. The RVP is accountable for core claims results – Quality, Customer Service, Efficiency, Expense Management (including operating budget); claims relationship management with VIP agents; ongoing communications with Actuary, Underwriting, Product Managers; and effective leadership, management and staff development. The RVP span of control includes a direct report group of 7-9 and an organization of 300 - 350 emploees.

Served nine years with Progressive in positions of increasing responsibility from Customer Service Representative to Regional Claims Manager II. The most recent claims position with Progressive encompassed claims management responsibilities for all aspects of the North Florida claims region: field response operations, property damage network (including one Concierge facility), and a centralized casualty unit. Direct reports included 3 Regional Managers; total employee count of up to ~250 in 2006.
