Shifted to a new role focused almost exclusively on Cybersecurity. After I had pushed for the creation of a Security Operations Center, I was given the go-ahead to start building the foundations that would facilitate that, as well as advising on the purchase of core equipment/software for that purpose (SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, NGFW, IDS/IPS, etc)

Originally hired as a Network Engineer, but focused primarily on Cybersecurity devices within that sphere, eventually shifted towards more of a Cybersecurity focused role with a lot of pushing for the creation of a Security Operations Center.

Originally hired as a web developer, but after completing my first project; joined a small team tasked with building a framework to automate the deployment and testing of NFV (Network Function Virtualization) and SDN (Software Defined Networking) solutions. I then moved to an entirely Cybersecurity focused role – alternating between penetration testing and security architecture and cybersecurity consulting duties.

I created my own company specializing in web development, CMS and CRM deployment, computer repair and upgrading, computer security, data recovery, linux installation, and technology consulting.

I was hired to work with a highly skilled development team to shift an aging CMS system to new technology as well as migrate acquired properties to our CMS system and maintain the legacy CMS in the meantime. Worked on very large sites like EveryJoe, GameTrailers, The Escapist; and worked on prototypes for Addicting Games using node.

I led the charge to bring a print culture to the modern era. Helped introduce and implement numerous technologies; including Drupal, Git, Titanium, Solr, etc. I Acted as the R&D arm of the department, led the team in a massive Drupal project.

I worked as a developer (primarily .NET and PHP), server administrator (mostly Linux and Windows Server 2k3), security consultant, cloud administrator, and technology research specialist.

Created a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation for the purpose of creating a 24/7 recreational center focused on youth. Handled all administrative and business aspects, also developed the web site.

Elected to the Board of Directors by the members of the organization. I worked in both administrative and technical capacities. Acted as tech consultant for the board and partnered with another board member to handle day to day IT tasks and projects.

I created a multinational organization focused on getting people (especially youth) educated about and involved in politics. I handled all IT and development tasks. I wrote 60-70% of the articles on our news site. I created all graphics for the website and handled design, layout, graphics, and printing of the physical copy of our newsletter. Largely an attempt to carry on the legacy of the old BBS systems I grew up on.

I maintained and developed code for the NYRA website. I ported a large amount of legacy code to modern formats. I was later elected by the members of the organization to the Board of Directors where I served for a term (but declined eligibility for re-election as I had other duties). Board duties included management, grant writing, guiding decisions, helping individual state chapters organize, etc.
