Responsible for the supervision of the large scale process development and GMP production of biopharmaceutical proteins in in-house and external, i.e. client, projects. Reports directly to the CEO of the Company.

Supported transferring upstream portion of a process from a Bristol-Myers Squibb’s US facility to Celltrion-Vaxgen’s joint venture with 50000L biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing facility. Played a major role on facility start-up and the preparation of FDA PAI inspection.

Started as Senior Process Engineer in Technical Services, promoted to Staff Engineer, demonstrating technical leadership and team building abilities by successfully managing both upstream and downstream portion of the processes.

Responsibilities included planning and manufacturing operations in the Fermentation Department, supervising 12 employees. Managed large scale operations effectively, batch scheduling, and coordinating all the activities of various biopharmaceutical products, while adhering to cGMP guidelines.

In charge of R&D activities of the pilot plant (1500L fermentors). Responsible for overseeing the duties of 5 manufacturing personnel and technicians, and for designing, implementing and evaluating research projects.

Awarded a full Australian Research scholarship for the duration of the postgraduate program, which involved research and related coursework in a laboratory-focused program.

Thesis was based on research of heavy metal pollutants in Izmir Bay.
