Currently working as a Software Engineer at Google’s office in New York City, being a member of the Geo Clustering team, focusing on local and geographical data indexing for search.

Worked at Microsoft's Search Technology Center in Europe, part of the Bing search engine team. Concretely, I was a member of the Web Relevance group located in Munich, Germany. During this period I shipped various releases of the Bing search engine in several markets.

Worked as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, WA (USA), being a member of SQL Server's Full-Text Search Team. During this period I shipped SQL Server 2008 and worked on new features for the next release.

Developed a software suite for the simulation of CERN's computer cluster usage, including file read/write operations on disks and tapes, as well as CPU workload. This cluster is composed of 2,500+ machines and is used to store and analyze data from the experiments that take place in particle accelerators such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

Worked as a Software Development Engineer Intern in the SQL Relational Engine group at Microsoft, part of the SQL Server product. I was one of the 40 international students selected for this internship, and one of the 2 from Spain.

Worked in the Visual and Autonomous Exploration Systems Research Laboratory, part of the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy. During this time I was involved in project SIMEYE, a computer-based realistic simulation of visual perception under various eye defects. This research led to a journal publication and a conference communication.

Worked as a Software Developer Intern in the Unit of Neuroprosthesis and Visual Rehabilitation of the Miguel Hernández University. During this period I developed two tools: - PARBraille: a suite of programs for experiments using Braille characters. - NEV2lkit: an offline preprocessor program for neuronal event data.

Worked as a Software Developer Intern for Optiva Media, a startup in the telecommunications field. Concretely, I was involved in the following tasks: - Development of a tool to verify a communication channel that was using FTP. - Development of a web-based interface to control remotely a computer with a PVR installed. - Improvement of the company's website by adding dynamic content.
