Globally responsible to build up the plastic injection molding operation for Business unit Body &Security in their Tianjin/China and Guadalajara/Mexico facilities. Specifying & sourcing of molding machines and periphery equipment, coordination of project miles-stones with multiple project teams. Layout planning and support during construction phase of new buildings, including the implementation of cost efficient manufacturing techniques and layout.

Development of advanced product cost calculation for Radio and HVAC front panels, including establishment of process, roll out and training at plant locations in China and Europe. Target costing support during the acquisition phase and product development. Support and close interaction with our European Technology Center Plastics operation, establishing and continuously performing standardized performance reviews for injection molding operations at plant locations.

Responsible for full cost calculations of new projects and engineering changes during program acquisition phase. Main focus on projects for the instrument cluster and integrated center stack business. Active role in profitability tracking and improvement during the development phase.Creator and acting roll-out coordinator for new full cost calculation tool & data templates on a global level.

Leading and coordination of the manufacturing quote process during the project acquisition phase. Assurance of cost/investment alignment vs. original quote submitted to customer during implementation phase. Active participation in definition & optimization of manufacturing concepts. Implementation of measures to optimize manufacturing cost and investment. Development & implementation of new plant fix cost allocation methodology.

Interface between the plant purchasing department and the project/business field during the acquisition and introduction phase of new projects. Pricing/estimation of customized bill of materials and related material target definition. Supplier selection/sourcing for new customized parts. Monitoring and tracking of target achievements during project implementation phase. Evaluation and support of cost reduction proposals (MCP) for running programs.

Core team member from Purchasing in production transfer team during production transfers from plants in Germany and the USA. Responsible for the introduction of the bill of material (BOM) for the incoming projects transferred from other Siemens VDO plants to Guadalajara/MX. Investigation of the original supply sources and contracts, assure part availability and part release, coordination between the local and foreign Purchasing Departments and Project Management.

Financial responsibility for multi million EUR projects at airports, hospitals or large R&D Centers. Active cost controlling and tracking for the individual projects, invoicing towards the customer, receivables tracking and closure of open claims beyond accounts receivable responsibilities. Verification of capital requests against the project budget, quarterly closings on project level, verification of quotations during the acquisition phase.

Production of soft and hard tooling for sensor production, prototype built of mechanical sensors for pre-series production; production of serial parts on CNC milling and turning machines. Creation of CAD drawings with Auto-CAD for mechanical parts, data transfers to CNC equipment for sample and production runs.
