Systems engineering for precision coordinate measuring machines

I am working in the field of ion beam therapy for moving tumors. I am currently employed by University Clinic of Erlangen, Germany but I am based at the Heidelberg Ion-Beam Therapy Center (HIT) and work in close collaboration with GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt.

I worked on treatment planning for moving tumors in scanned ion beam therapy.

I worked on particle identification via energy loss measurements with the ATLAS transition radiation tracker (TRT) and searches for slow massive particles. From May to October 2008 I was based at the Eurpean Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
