I joined Zurich's internal consultancy unit iCON and participate in the Global Associate Program, a one-year graduate program. I will spend my national rotation working on a Life insurance project and my international rotation in Moscow, Russia.

In a home for elderly people near Vienna, I was able to help the inhabitants during their daily routines, serving them meals, talking to them and taking them for walks. Furthermore, I had the possiblity to accompany the COO to various meetings and look over his shoulder during his work, thereby gaining insights into his job.

Working in the Customer Relationship Management department I learned about analytical and operational CRM. I was responsible for finding and analyzing customer data and make recommandations based upon my findings. Furthermore I helped prepare for presentations in front of group managers.

As a part-time employed accountant I was assigned some clients and processed their monthly statements, including pro forma balance sheets and P&Ls. During the summer 2006 and 2007 I worked full-time for the comany and aside from my normal duties I also worked on clients’ balance sheets, income statements and employee and salary management.

Work Placement in Bristol, England. For three weeks I worked with a financial advisor company, helping them to manage clients’ porfolios by finding out the current value of the paortfolios and doing some filing work.
