Daniele Pezzali

It is the “Appliances Division” of De Longhi SpA Holding. Last 31st December 2009 I have finished my contract in our Hong Kong subsidiary DLT (after almost 6 years) and starting from January I’m working in Italy in the most important factory (Coffee Division) of De Longhi Group, I’m in charge as Purchasing Manager. I’m driving a team consisting of 6 buyers and 4 procurement officers, and following my experience acquired on Chinese market. My purchasing budget is 100 millions Euro.

During last working year in De’Longhi Spa (Italy), I have been involved in the project of transferring the residential air conditioners production from Italy to China. On completion of the project, I accepted the title of OEM Purchasing Manager in our Hong Kong subsidiary. Following the acceptance of my new role, I relocated to Hong Kong along with my immediate family (my wife and my son). I had total responsibility of the following categories: Air Conditioning, Air Treatment, Heating and Coffee Makers.

I was employed with the title of Purchasing Manager within the Air Conditioning Division (residential and professional). Individually I pursued results by set targets, although I was involved in chairing meetings in order to define the strategic policy and the value of standard costs of the components required for production purposes. I was employed with the role of Senior Buyer, responsible for the purchasing of industrial appliances (Air compressors, PET dryers, Chillers, PLC devices, etc.) also for components and strategic systems, due to the high value or reparability on the market. In addition, I negotiated the technical consultant agreements with engineering companies. I was assisted by a procurement officer for the operative works. My purchasing budget was 30 billions Lire (equivalent at 15 million Euro).

I was employed, taking the position of Senior Buyer, managing with full responsibility, the purchasing of finished products. I was appointed to manage and develop relationships with approximately 100 suppliers, that operate within the catering field, on a purchasing budget of 15 billion Lire (equivalent at 7.5 million Euro). I followed the purchasing of finish goods, as a buying requirement of Zanussi, achieving targeted objectives to complete in full, customer orders.

I was initially employed as a junior buyer, yet after two years I was promoted to the position of senior buyer. I was responsible for the purchasing of all components, necessary for the maintenance and total refurbishment of the rail wagons “Trains Euro Nuit”, including spare parts, special drawing mechanical parts, electric components, electronic devices, chemical products and plastic materials. I worked independently, to manage detailed exercises and activities.
