I am responsible for managing the performance and output of two client service teams, one global and another located across EMEA South and Latin America to support the recruitment goals of two technology companies, Coriant (optical networks; www.coriant.com) and Vestas (wind energy; www.vestas.com).

Working on a part-time basis, I worked as a pasta cook within a busy Italian restaurant. I was required to take orders, prepare the desired food in a timely manner. Here I have learnt to effectively prioritise work tasks in a sometimes stressful, time-sensitive commercial environment. I worked using German as my primary language, which was the aim of taking on this position.

I was responsible for establishing and maintaining senior strategic and operational relationships with client decision-makers. I worked with the advertising service partner to formulate effective attraction campaigns. I guided the operational delivery team to engage with candidate and project management best practice, and ensured that all accounts were profitable. In particular, I ensured that a new key account was successfully embedded within the Capita Resourcing client base.

I was responsible for the P&L scale on my key accounts, establishing and maintaining senior strategic relationships with client decision-makers. Using robust management information, I guided delivery teams to measure the impact of attraction activity and adjust the media channels to impact the quality of the candidate pipeline. My major achievement was to successfully roll out an online recruitment project on behalf of a major UK retail bank. This yielded 60% margin for TMP.

The aim of this fixed-term role was to assist the Resourcing Solutions Director to set up an RPO (volume recruitment) function. This task included: the creation and communication of relevant volume pricing models and mapping and managing a bespoke applicant database for Tribal to pitch for RPO contracts. I worked closely with advertising to devise and implement integrated recruitment campaigns. I also managed third-party suppliers for support and technology services.

I worked at a senior level with clients to devise and manage integrated recruitment projects, and had responsibility for the division’s profit/loss scale. I participated in new business initiatives and converted leads to solid revenue channels and maximised the revenue channels through the existing client base through re-negotiating our fees. Finally, I managed third-party suppliers of technology platforms and assessment services for the two high-profile UK government agencies..

I was responsible for generating maximum revenue through the existing client base, developing and monitoring innovative cost models to ensure profitability for the Response Management division. Working at a senior level, I was tasked with cross-selling the full portfolio of TMP’s products and services to response management clients, I worked with the new business team in preparing and presenting tenders and proposals for new and existing clients.

I was responsible for tutoring students in the subject of archaeological heritage management. Working closely with the lecturer and college tutors, I ensured that all undergraduates thoroughly knew the issues and concepts used, and were able to apply and communicate these notions. I set and graded essays, which were prepared by students on a weekly basis for the duration of the course.

I undertook community consultation exercises to either assess the impact of proposed developments or to facilitate community input into resource development programmes to conserve and interpret the region’s identities, cultures and heritages, and I made recommendations based on my findings. I facilitated the interactions between local and indigenous groups and government agencies.

This position saw me work closely with Aboriginal communities to educate individuals for the then Associate Diploma in Aboriginal Land Care. I designed and taught course on cultural heritage conservation, and facilitated course delivered by subject matter experts. I graded performances and at times undertook pastoral responsibilities to ensure students’ wellbeing.
