David Bartges

Responsible for developing and implementing the global hosting strategy for XL's production applications and integrating that strategy with a global DR plan. Leads the global business continuity management program including crisis management, work area recovery and DR planning, testing and incident management. Manages infrastructure engineering and project management teams.

Reported to the CTO. Managed 25-30 direct project managers and business analysts responsible for planning, design and implementation of all trading applications. Directed 250 outsourced technical support staff and a $50+ million annual budget. Managed the relationships between the business units, customers, vendors and IT and shaped business demand for IT services by working with the business units to identify, design and prioritize IT services to increase market share and grow revenue.
