Berufserfahrung von Debapriya Chaudhuri

  • Bis heute 6 Jahre und 11 Monate, seit Sep. 2018

    Research Scientist

    Tyndall National Institute

Presently, I am working on the computational design and modeling LEDs comprising of III-N semiconductors. I am competent in a variety of programming languages such as Python, Fortran, C and other mathematical tools such as Matlab and Mathematica to analyze large sets of unstructured data. With collaborations, I have helped in developing a framework for an atomistic and continuum-based simulation tool to address LED properties.

  • 1 Jahr und 9 Monate, Sep. 2016 - Mai 2018

    Research Scientist

    CEA Grenoble

I worked on ab inito simulations of spin-dependent electronic structure and transport properties in magnetic nanostrucutres including those which are of primary interest in a view of Graphene spintronics. The research involved simultaneous code development, usage of other technical tools, strategic quantitative (qualitative) modeling and data analysis, data mining for large sets of unstructured data.

  • 9 Monate, Jan. 2016 - Sep. 2016

    Postdoctoral Researcher

    Technische Universität Kaiserslautern

The research involved the numerical modeling and investigation of the femtosecond laser pulses with molecular magnets. Key aspects include numerical modeling, data analysis, data mining, statistical analysis and programming. Iimplemented high-level algorithms in analogy to theory for instance unsupervised machine learning, regression analysis, differential equations and statistical analysis to develop efficient prototypes spin-memory devices.

  • 4 Jahre und 1 Monat, Jan. 2012 - Jan. 2016

    Doctoral Student

    Technische Universität Kaiserslautern

I am mainly interested in the interaction of the femtosecond laser pulses with molecular magnets that consists of more than one transition metal atoms like Ni,Co, and Fe. The aim is to simulate ultrafast dynamics (spin switch, spin transfer and demagnetization) between magnetic centers for the functionalization of various logic elements. A further objective is to elucidate the exact microscopic mechanisms using (non)linear optics.

  • 7 Monate, Sep. 2010 - März 2011

    Research Assistant

Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi

I worked under the expert supervision of Prof. Patrick Dasgupta on the project titled "Nonlinear Dirac equations in Graphene and Bose-Einstein condensates".

  • 7 Monate, Sep. 2010 - März 2011

    Research Internship

    University of Delhi

Experimental research project titled "Surface Plasmon Resonance" under the supervision of Prof. S. Annapoorni.

  • 3 Monate, Juni 2010 - Aug. 2010

    Research Internship

    S. N. Bose National Centre For Basic Sciences, Kolkata, India

I worked under the supervision of Prof. Jayanta Bhattacharjee (Directior of HRI Allahabad) on the topic titled "Perturbation theory for classical and semiclassical anharmonic oscillators"
