In July 2019 I returned to my former company "Flushing Shipping Agencies" to take up the management position. After an absence of just over 2 years I am looking forward to the challenges ahead! Flushing Shipping Agencies b.v. offers a complete port agency service, optimized to ensure a quick and efficient port call avoiding unnecessary expenses and/or delays.

Recently I got the responsibility for the sales activities of our company in the German market, my new activities include doing market research, giving company presentations, visiting existing and potential customers and preparing customized quotations.

In 2017 I decided to Join Damen Schelde Marine Services, starting as a office sales support clerk. While I already had some experience in sales with my former employment as a agency operations manager, I believed this was a good opportunity to expand my knowledge in this proffesion. In my first year I was granted the possibility to learn the basics while I also got the chance to develop myself into account management.

In 2008 I was promoted to Agency Operations Manager, in this roll I was responsible for the day to day operational management occurring with our principal’s vessels calling the ports of Vlissingen and Terneuzen. During these years the company evolved into a all-round ship agency, acting as agents for specialized reefer vessels, projects cargoes as well as tankers and especially offshore related vessels.

As an agency operator with the newly founded company Flushing Shipping Agencies I visitited various kind of ships calling the ports of Vlissingen and Terneuzen. My responsibilities where among others, arranging port clearance, keeping track of customs affairs via Portbase and maintaining contact with vessel owners, charterers, stevedores and 3 parties
