Diana Boitmane

My personality strongly resonates through porcelain as a material. I express myself in porcelain design, funcional pieces and conceptual artworks. Very often I combine spatial thinking with philosophical message. In my works I utilize traditional graphic art techniques - lithography, etching, aquatint, or tradicional porcelain casting, painting techniques shaped within contemporary and conceptual art vision. Music has always been a big part of my life. In 2002, when I was visiting a friend in Berlin, I have been given John Cage original notes. It has inspired me and my work ever since. I fall in love with his works, music peformances and thinking. His ability to compose so unique music where he reflects on having this importance of silence in our modern lifestyles. Also one of my inspirational musicians is Hungarian composer Gyorgy Ligeti - his peculiar composing notes. Where is philosopher Martin Heidegger inspired me with his opinions of phenomenon and philosophy of sound.
