Responsible for the low level software for the new range of products GO 1005 and 1000.

Taking an active role in the design and development of the ARM11 platform within TomTom.

Lead of the R&D department. My main tasks are to direct the research on new projects, provide help and assistance to the different research projects and coordinate those projects and lead them to finalization which is the industrialization phase.

Part of a team developing a biometric identification system based on image recognition (image processing, feature extraction, indexing and finally identification). I have also done high speed electronic design, the purpose of this hardware was to speed up the image processing algorithms.

Lead of a team developing a prototype artificial vision system for license plate recognition (I did algorithm research, development and validation, feature extraction and recognition, then i led a the implementation of a faster prototype written in C/C++).

Development of real-time SCADA systems for the control of traffic. Took part in the development and comissioning of the new SCADA system controlling the Oresunds link (links Denmark and Sweden). During the last part of the project, mainly commissioning and early production I was in charge of the full system and led a team of three people scattered between Denmark and the local office in Madrid.

Currently taken several courses. I have not yet chosen the topic of my thesis, however my interests are: epigenetic robotics, mimetic robotics, neurocomputation and artificial vision.
