Aelia is an Independent Software Vendor, focused on the development of internationalisation solution for ecommerce platforms such as WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. We also provide consultancy and software development services, with particular focus on LAMP platforms.

- Stategic management of company's IT infrastructure (software and hardware). - Management of the teams (on site and offshore) responsible for the development of company's core platform. - Supervision of development plans, security policies and disaster recovery policies. - Liaison with Suppliers and Service Providers. - Cost planning and forecasting. - Hands-on development of Company’s core e-commerce and forum platform, using Vanilla Forums and Magento 1.7.

• Supporting Company’s Exchange System, running 24/7 and processing hundreds of thousands of transactions a day. • Monitoring and performance tuning of the application, written in C#. • Identifying patterns and developing tools to automate frequent tasks. Most of the tools have been written using several scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Powershell and PHP. • Database tuning, optimization of Stored Procedures (extensive use of T-SQL). Database size is currently in the order of Terabytes.

• Worked as a Product Lead (2nd level support) on issues regarding SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005. • Provided technical support on SQL Server issues, mainly to highly demanding German customers. • Ensured customer satisfaction. • Reported directly to Service Delivery Manager and Microsoft GTSC about quality of the service for the entire Developer Area.
