Techno-commercial power engineering expert with 30 years experience, Dietmar is one of the driving commercial leaders in the power sector in the Middle East over the past 20 years. Dietmar is the architect of the 1998 Abu Dhabi independent water and power project (IWPP) template. Together with his team, Dietmar has been at the forefront to introduce solar PV into the sector by co-leading the competitive tenders for Abu Dhabi’s 1,177MW Sweihan Solar PV project and of a 2,000 MW Solar PV plant at Al Dhafra.

Member of the original team which developed the program for the privatization of the water and electricity sector in Abu Dhabi and created the template of a practical and transparent procurement process of a project financed independent water and power producer (IWPP) project, which template is highly recognized worldwide in the sector and successfully used with proven track record since more than a decade not only in Abu Dhabi but as well adopted by many other countries.

Advising the Government of Abu Dhabi on the privatization of the water and electricity sector. Providing consultancy services to the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and to the Ministry of Electricity and Water of the Sultanate of Oman.

Providing technical consultancy services and advising different German and international clients as Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, Project and Mechanical Engineer.

Preparation and programming of various kinds of computer software and databases. Preparation of final thesis and special project for the university studies.
