Looking after the commercialisation of intellectual property arising from the UCL Cancer Institute, Institute of Child Health and GOSH. As part of my role I evaluate inventions, seek for appropriate IP protection, seek funding from different sources to develop new technologies with the aim of a commercial exit through licensing or spin-outs. Main activities include: business development, IP management, market assessments, contractual and financial due diligence and liaising with investors and licensees

Manage and co-ordinate a commercially targeted project portfolio in the pharmaceutical and medical device area. The projects are in different development life cycle stages - ranging from pre-clinical, clinical study / clinical investigation and CE marking or marketing authorization – and belong to different departments within UCL but also external industry partners.

To lead and oversee technical projects at the Innovation and Commercial interface of BTG’s drug eluting micro spheres in order to defend and grow its product portfolio.

Acting as a link between the marketing team and the R&D/Innovation team, for the Bead business, in order to: - clarify marketing needs for line extension and - close gaps in technical data to support the Beads business. This includes defining, planning and co-ordinating technical studies and line extensions.
