The Students Union in Trinity College is the official Student Leap Card Agency in Dublin. During my part-time work, responsibilities included: - Working with specialized software which requires precision of detail to produce travel cards - Managing the office on weekends and ensure the account and cash flow are up to date Travel

The Accommodation Advisory Service was set up by the Students Union uner my role to help students search for private rented accommodation. As the Accommodation Officer, responsibilities included: - Planning availability of private rented accommodation for students - Extensive online and offline communication with landlords and students - Management and uploading private rented accommodation advertisements on the Student Union’s website

As student fundraiser, my role involved requesting financial support for College initiatives and processing donations over the phone. Key skills gained from this role were: - Persuasive sales skills to raise funds for various projects - Excellent oral communication skills - Won the prize for top performing caller on my first campaign

Skills gained through my time as a research assistant include: - Patient recruitment - Organisation, planning and execution of experimental studies in collaboration with hospitals - Data analysis with custom-written code (MATLAB), signal processing of high-density data - Set-up of EEG experiments, Temporal Discrimination Threshold experiments - Data collection using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

During this project, I investigated the role of Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 1 (HIF-1) pathway in the embryonic central nervous system. Skill gained include: - Animal and tissue preparation - Cryosectioning of spinal cords - Immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy image analysis using Image J Software

Travelling Languages is a language school that incorporates travelling around Ireland as part of their teaching program. As travel guide responsibilities included: - Leading and managing large groups of students as we travelled to different locations - Monitoring and scheduling different activities for students to do during free time to maintain effective communication between students

Neural Signal Processing, Implanted Neural Systems, Device design and Innovation, Research Methods, Form and Function of the Nervous System, Neuroimaging Techniques, Current topics in Neural Engineering , Dissertation Project and Clinical Research in collaboration with hospitals and patients.

A central feature of the learning experience is the development of a core set of transferable skills in the following areas: laboratory technique, group project work, data analysis, public presentation, report writing, research methodology and critical thinking.
