In 2009 Jean and I started Gundara for fair trade products directly from craftsmen and women in developing countries. We design, import and sell (online and in our concept store in Berlin-Kreuzberg, Schlesische Str. 25) fair trade leather bags and more from countries such as Afghanistan, Nepal, Ethiopia, Zambia and Niger. We raise awareness for handmade natural products that are produced in a fair way. We support local producers and promote concious ethical and ecological consumption.

I was advising the GIZ Police Programme Africa. I was in charge of the overall monotroing of the programme and the country components in Cote d'Ivoire and Cameroon.

I worked in different divisions of the BMZ: Transitional Aid, Cooperation with the Private Sector and Civil Engagement

I am designed and conducted a conflict analysis for a KfW water supply programme in Northern Afghanistan

I am managing three projects in Northern Afghanistan in the field of job promotion and disaster management.

I am looking at GTZ's analytical instruments to see to what extent they include social violence, whether they should and if so how...

my main foci are: -regional cooperation -governance in Pakistan -sub-national governance in Afghanistan -multilateral donors

I am currently building up a community development programme for Caritas Luxembourg in Kosovo.

-I was responsible for the result-based reporting of a UNDP programme at the Afghan Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development -I was heading the communications unit and developed a lot of tools and information material to improve internal and external communication -I provided trainings on reporting and helped to design monitoring formats -I formulated numerous project proposals to acquire new funding and negotiated with donors

-I did backstopping of development projects in Afghanistan -was responsible for public relations and liaison with partners -I did reporting -I was the project manager of a research project

-I did research on local conflict potential, the state-building process and modes of local governance in Tajikistan -I did one year of field research, in which I conducted 165 qualitative interviews -I analyzed my data and published several articles
