As Accounting Manager, I managed end-to-end accounting and reporting for the German entity in close coordination with Turkish HQ. Responsibilities included HGB-compliant bookkeeping, period-end closings with external advisors, HGB to IFRS reporting, AP/AR management, reconciliations, tax and VAT support, financial analysis, and driving process improvements.

-Leading the transition from outsourced accounting to a fully in-house department. -Managing tax compliance (VAT, CIT and other statutory declarations) for Turkish and German entities. -Coordinating IFRS-compliant financial reporting and investor-focused financials. -Supporting transfer pricing and intercompany transactions between Turkey and Germany. -Designing R&D accounting structures aligned with incentives and grants.

-Set up the in-house accounting function by moving processes from external providers. -Managed tax declarations (withholding tax, VAT, corporate income tax). -Conducted internal audits to strengthen compliance and internal controls. -Prepared budgets, cash flow reports and management financials. -Improved financial transparency and investor readiness.
