Contractor - Android Engineer

Working remotely, primarily on FASCIS, an Android app for Hamwe. Handled features for profiling Farmers, field agents, and suppliers; recording biodata, farm GPS coordinates, farm produce, and any new requirements. The data is collected offline then synchronized with an online server once the user/agent has an internet connection. The product is continually under development and user testing. (Java, Retrofit2, Room, Google Maps).

Working remotely, primarily on Streamline, a web application for running Hospitals. The product is currently used by at least 20 hospitals and health centers in Uganda. Providing technical support to product users as they onboard/get acquainted with the system. Creating feature updates on-demand for use in production/on-site. (PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, BitBucket, and Google Hangouts).

What I did: 1. Worked remotely with Web and Mobile software development tools and technologies to build world-class applications. Primarily Python/Flask, React and Android (Kotlin, Java) projects. 2. Concurrently served in a Leadership role for 8 months (Nov '18 - Jun '19) as the External Communications personnel on the Culture Council.

Worked remotely for The Bleacher Report under Andela: 1. Worked on Social features for user engagement and retention on the Bleacher Report Android app. 2. Worked on user account creation/completion wizard.

What I did for the team: 1. Developed features widely used by Medical Superintendents, Doctors, Pharmacists, Accountants and other employees at Kisiizi Hospital (http://www.kisiizihospital.org.ug/) through work done on functionalities for each user type/group on Streamline (http://streamlinehealth.org/), a PHP health information system. 2. Also worked on and supported clients for Streamcredit (http://streamcredit.net/), a PHP finance management software.
