Project overall objectives: elucidating the role of a stress-related molecule as a possible factor linking experience driven synaptic plasticity and autophagy in the framework of stress and anxiety. • Using neuronal primary cultures, explores the molecular mechanisms and effects of this molecule action in synapses via autophagy. • Tests the results in vivo to evaluate the effects on a behavioural and plasticity level.

Training on a number of techniques of human and clinical neurophysiology in the context of pain and somatosensory disorders. Active participation in a starting program of cortical neurostimulation coupled with peripheral laser activation. Internship funded by ERASMUS plus project.

Evaluation of the effects of the analogue of the KYNA during hyperalgesia inducted by nitroglycerin (NTG) administration in plantar- and orofacial formalin test in vivo in rats. Research on the possible mediators modulated by this compound, via extraction of specific peripheral and central areas implied in the migraine pain transmission and further analysis for the genetic expression of some inflammation markers.
