Ellen Naaijkens

Ellen Naaijkens works as a senior business manager at the Logistics department of Port of Rotterdam Authority, focusing on the continuous improvement and expansion of the connectivity of the port with the hinterland. Both in terms of quality (processes, information exchange, supply chain and port call optimisation, better use of physical and ICT infrastructure etc.) as well as number and frequency of intermodal services, in close consultation with the private sector.

Projects on behalf of ports, public authorities and companies active in ports and logistics in The Netherlands and abroad. Projects varied from strategic master plans, benchmark studies, economic impact analysis, hinterland strategies as well as feasibility studies and business cases of infrastructure investments and logistics efficiency concepts.

Responsible for advisory and assessment at both company and sector level for the benefit of portfolio management, finance proposals and M&A in shipping and logistics.

European intermodal projects in cooperation with mainly research institutes, ICT companies and logistics consultants.
