He is based in Vienna and previously worked in London, San Francisco, New York and Washington D.C. Eric has covered technology news for Reuters for two decades as a reporter, columnist and editor, chronicling the rise of the world's biggest Internet and mobile communications phenomena. He grew up in what is now known as Silicon Valley, long before the term meant much of anything to anyone.
