My current project is still concerned with characterisation of the pharmacoresistant (R-type) calcium channels (trace metal-sensitive) using the cardioactive peptide pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP), released from intracardiac neurons. On one hand I aim at investigating the cardiac importance of this peptide and on the other hand, any interaction with other trace metal sensitive channels (T-type calcium channels, Cav3.2), while teaching and supervising students
