Line Management of a global engineering headcount with primary responsibility for ownership and development of core technologies. Relevant engineering domains include analysis, design and validation of product critical components with direct impact on major performance indicators.

As Head of Advanced Technologies for Siemens Energy UK and Sweden, was responsible for Strategic Development of Global Technology Capability. Managed related, multi-discipline, multi-millions Euro, Technology Programme from 2006 to 2010, meeting demanding budget, scheduling and technical requirements: • Performed planning, roll-out and implementation of Siemens 2006/10 Technology Programme: Identification of Strategic Targets; Long and Medium Term Routemapping; Technology Intelligence.

Tasked with expanding and increasing the capabilities of a critical engineering team, quickly transitioned technologies and processes from Gas Turbines environment, allowing to sustain growth and achieve substantial customers goals: • Management of Department of 14 internal resources + 3 external • Total budget in the range of 15 M USD • Project Planning and Technical Development of New Products.

In this position acted as focal role for re-instatement, implementation and training of Six Sigma in Engineering, covering temporary Master Black Belt vacancies and dramatically improving previous performance: • Large scale introduction of Six Sigma and supervision of projects. • Cost of Quality reduction. • Management of projects for Digitization of Engineering Tasks and Productivity improvement.

As key responsible for EU-funded projects, was tasked with consistently expanding the success rate and the financial return of externally funded research, enabling support to critical product developments: • Coordination with European Commission, Industrial entities and Academic bodies. • Planning, Proposal and Project Coordination of multi-national EU Funded Research Projects.

Joining a freshly formed design team focused on advanced design technologies for small/medium Gas Turbines, quickly gained ownership of complete work-packages, eventually obtaining technical supervision of a team of 3 resources.

A total of five individual courses on Business Excellence focussed on Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, Design for Reliability and Project Support//Management. Held at General Electric Oil & Gas (various locations).

Post Degree specialist education cycle for GE O&G R&D Engineering Teams. Eighteen-months course held at Department of Energy Engineering, University of Florence, Italy.
