Maintenance of the current converter and design on a new product main resposibilities - IGBTs - thermal design - filter design (DC and AC) - Simulation, building and testing the prototype - redesign and building a future product

During a 9 months short term agreement I had the chance to look into the world of ABB MV drives. I was leading a project for a tester for inverter modules of the new product line. This involved specifying test requirements, designing the hardware and the software concept and at the end to build and test it. Partime I was also requested to support my home base in New Zealand with supplier FAT, client requests/visits as well as supporting the CNIAB team with knowledge about our products in New Zealand.

Vergleich eines zwei und drei Stufen Umrichters für vorgegebene Einsatzbereiche. Dabei wurde zuerst ein drei Stufen Umrichter simmuliert, aufgebaut und Messungen durchgeführt.

Ein IBIS<->IP Konverter für ein Zugskommunikationssystem konnte aufgebaut und dokumentiert werden. Aufgrund der Sicherheitsanforderungen wurde dabei nach dem V-Schema der Deutschen Bahn vorgegangen. Aufgrund der Zeit wurde in dieser Arbeit der Hardware Teil noch nicht vollständig gelöst.
