Über mich
I am an undergraduate student of Pharmacy at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, with a passion for learning about the various aspects of the pharmaceutical field. I have gained hands-on experience through internships as an undergraduate research fellow, including a project on the Zika virus RNA polymerase with a Capes/Brasil scholarship, and a project on recombinant protein production with a CNPq scholarship. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the field and have motivated me to continue learning about new and different areas within the pharmaceutical industry. I am always looking for new opportunities to expand my knowledge and contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical research.

Recombinant protein production is essential for research and biotechnology. Using the NMR technique, it is possible to identify several molecules in a culture solution simultaneously and with a few minutes of spectrum acquisition, a methodology called metabolomics. In this project, we study the metabolomic patterns of eight combinations of culture media and compare them with the heterologous production capacity of a recombinant protein in Escherichia coli in a non-defined medium.

I worked on the Zika Virus RNA Polymerase Inhibitor Identification project. This project aimed to identify and characterize 13 quinolone derivatives - potential drugs that inhibit the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) of the Zika Virus (ZIKV), also known as acyclonucleoside phosphonate (ANPs).
