Recombinant protein production is essential for research and biotechnology. Using the NMR technique, it is possible to identify several molecules in a culture solution simultaneously and with a few minutes of spectrum acquisition, a methodology called metabolomics. In this project, we study the metabolomic patterns of eight combinations of culture media and compare them with the heterologous production capacity of a recombinant protein in Escherichia coli in a non-defined medium.

I worked on the Zika Virus RNA Polymerase Inhibitor Identification project. This project aimed to identify and characterize 13 quinolone derivatives - potential drugs that inhibit the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) of the Zika Virus (ZIKV), also known as acyclonucleoside phosphonate (ANPs).
