Currently having a project group leadership role in automotive software product development projects including; - Map as a sensor for autonomous driving, ensuring up-to-date high-definition map data available to enable highly automated driving. - Navigation solution for the new best-in-class BMW iDrive 7.0 infotainment system

I have full product development responsibility leading product and service development for next generation Polar GPS sports watches. My responsibilities include; - overall program and business case execution - product design, including industrial design and UX - hardware, electronics and mechanical design - software development, including architectural oversight and system integration - sourcing, supply chain management, manufacturing technologies and production activities.

I was responsible for the operations and related business management activities for Mobile Phones Architecture Group; covering system design and software platforms. I contributed to shaping business unit strategy and product roadmap through management of a portfolio of up to 40 technical research and prototyping projects. I led crucial research and proof-of-concept studies, including analysis into the Android based Nokia X software platform.

I was responsible for driving the execution of the technology renewal program for Nokia’s S40 software platform; defining the scope and execution planning for the renewal and re-factoring across the entire software architecture. I directed numerous innovation projects impacting directly on consumer experience and product margins, including an innovative optimised software solution for low cost hardware platforms with an estimated direct savings in excess of €40 million.

I was overall responsible for a portfolio of software development projects or both the Japanese and Korean smartphone markets. I successfully managed all product content, schedules, resources and budgets. I established and led a product development team in Tokyo, and managed a large global project team which delivered Nokia's first mass market Symbian phone to Docomo in Japan. Success in this role also relied on successful negotiation of crucial customer and supplier agreements.
