CHOPCHOP is a startup creating an iOS app to calculate cooking steps for multi-recipe dinner parties. In this role, I changed the algorithm at the core of the app from an annealing to a machine learning algorithm, reducing the average calculation time from over 1 minute to under 1 second, while improving the key measure of quality of the output. I added new features, for example the ability to cope with more than 3 recipes and to handle simultaneous serving times of some of the dishes.
