Final Thesis: Modeling and Synthesis of Bone Cements from Polymeric Resins (Laureate) Abstract: This project aims to evaluate the influence of hydroxyapatite on the kinetics of the reaction of bulk polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of PMMA, a contrast, an initiator and an activator. Also the final mechanical strength of bone cement is tested by means of time-temperature monitoring, evaluation by GPC and mechanical testing.
