Fascinating research at the interface between biology and physics in an international, interdisciplinary team: I built the holographic optical tweezers setup with which the analysis of cells is performed in vivo in the context of the developing zebrafish embryo. Currently I am addressing the question of how the mehanical features of a cell and its environment are involved in cell migration and morphogenesis.
