The aim of the contract was to migrate a range of legacy backend applications from a legacy on-premise type of infrastructure to the Cloud. Tasks included Java Version migrations, conceptualizing and implementing a Cron Jobs mechanism, migration of caches to cluster-compatible data stores, migration of user sessions to cluster-compatible data stores, migration of an Authentication Provider server to the cloud, etc. Tech Stack: Java, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, ArgoCD, Microsoft Azure, Redis, TSDB, MariaDB.

The role was split between leading the server side of a team of 7 developers, consulting our client on different technical aspects, and actual implementation. I offer technical expertise to our client in issues regarding database design, Rest Interface design, and communication with external systems through different mechanisms like queues, external API calls, DB views, etc, search optimizations, data replication mechanisms, scalability, DevOps, etc. Tech Stack: Kubernetes, Docker, Java 11, Quarkus, DB2

I handled the design of the concept and implementation of this video editing app. My main focus was bringing After Effects widgets filters and blurs to the mobile app space. The main challenges were learning and understanding AvFoundation, working with Metal Shaders, and implementing a Math thesis about bicubic Bezier functions. Currently, the app has enough traffic to iterate and we are selling subscriptions every week. Tech stack: Swift 5, AvFoundation, Metal, Core Image
