Francisco Javier Belmonte

As experienced member of the Quality and HSE department, the main activities are related with Product Assurance management, Cleanliness & Contamination Control, EEE Parts, RAMS and Certification engineering in close cooperation with design engineering (Systems, AOCS, Electronics, Communications, Optics, Mechanisms, SW, ..) and MAIT departments, contributing to successful results and customer satisfaction in several projects of Aerospace division.

As full-time consultant, main responsibilities are to ensure procurement of safe and reliable satellites to be operated by Hispasat and compliance with program and mission requirements, as performance, safety and quality ones, at all levels (unit, subsystem and system), on cost and schedule.

Working with PA/QA, EEE , RAMS, RHA, SoC devices, digital, RF, optical, electrical, thermo-structural, mechanical design teams and with CTO to ensure Technical, Quality, Performance, Environmental, Safety and Dependability requirements for GS and Space Systems, Subsystems, RF and Digital equipment, HW & SW or complex integrated devices (MMIC, ASICs & FPGAs) used in different worldwide spacecrafts or satellite constellation programs

Working in close cooperation with ESA (European Space Agency), Galileo navigation satellites program (G-IOV) main contractor, in RAMS (Dependability & Safety), Product Assurance, HW, SW & other Engineering activities.

My first (and challenging) experience in the design and development of space subsystems, equipment and devices, working within engineering and product assurance teams to the achievement of cost, performance and quality objectives through detailed design reviews and analysis, use of well known or deployment of new techniques, methods and processes. Main efforts on the definition of design quality metrics to contribute, in a systematic and iterative approach, to the improvement of related indicators.
