Part of a team which recovered two years’ worth of BASEL 2 data and delivered in a pre-defined format to an AS400 application for further processing. The data required a lot of cleansing and strong analysis skills to consistently identify individual accounts in monthly snapshot style data. From an original team of eight external consultants I was the only one retained to the end of the project.

I dealt with various foundation SAS issues relating to the DI project. I corrected some priority 1 production problems, particularly relating to performance of ORACLE connections.

• Implemented from scratch BAU jobs to load more than 400 flat files with 41 different formats from 9 European countries to a SAS DW. • Established regular monthly MI reporting jobs and production of an OLAP cube in local currency and USD. Produced ad hoc reports for the Federal Reserve and into financial exposure arising from the collapse of Saab. • I furnished development environments to facilitate secure changes by the support team

I was hired to maintain a suite of batch jobs which were used to report on acquisitions and additions to the worldwide merchant base. The team leader manually interrogated these reports and painstakingly constructed a time based report, which was able to show trends for the previous 4 years. I leveraged the pre-existing local star schema to produce a pre-aggregated table which was amenable to manipulation using pivot tables.
