For individuals and couples I specialize in relationship concerns, depression, suicide, self-injury, conflict resolution, sexuality and other GLBTQ matters, eating disorders, domestic violence and sexual assault. I am also contactable by phone 24/7 for emergencies and crisis intervention.

As their Counselor I appeared for Drop-In sessions at the NYU campus offering an ear, a referral or continued sessions. I also presented at Orientation and did a Weekend Away training on self-harming behavior. In addition I handled many administrative duties including Czech translation when necessary. In our time together we actively provided Supervision and Intervision for each other. I was also on call for emergency crisis intervention, sometimes liaising with NYU staff or families of the students.

Along with a team of less than ten other Crisis Intervenionists I responded to over 3,000 calls every day. Dealing predominantly with adolescents we talked through situations of child abuse, suicide, depression, self-mutilation, domestic violence, cults, gangs, homicide, homelessness, anorexia and bulimia, HIV/AIDS, sexuality and transgender issues, drugs and alcohol abuse, mental illness, deaf culture and disabilities. We offered referrals and legal intervention when appropriate and only upon request.
