As the Mathematics and Science Coordinator my duties include meeting with prospective parents and students to advise on math/science courses available at The Learning Center (TLC) and to discuss goals and expectations, developing curricula for math, physics, and related subjects, interview and evaluate tutors, develop tutor training programs, develop and maintain the TLC website and develop computer-based programs for TLC. In addition to these duties is a regular schedule of teaching.

Principle role was one of computational modeling of highly relativistic processes using advanced magnetohydrodynamics methods (specifically pulsar jets), with the goal of yielding simulation results that concurred with multi-wavelength observations of several pulsar-wind nebula, principally that of the Crab Nebula, and the CTB80/PSR1951+32 complex. Such activities resulted in several conference contributions and a peer reviewed paper in the most prestigious journal in the astronomical sciences

For the summer of 2002 I worked as a research assistant in the Atmospheric Research Group in the National University of Ireland, Galway. The two projects that I worked on were: “Analysis of Aerosol Data in Requisite Data Base Formats” and “Testing of Satellite Algorithms in Inference of Aerosol Data”. These projects involved large amounts of data analysis and programming. Programs were written in MATLAB to analyse the data produce file formats used by the research groups and monthly booklets of the data.
