My main duties in this post are: -Updating RedIRIS' network monitoring tool: -Opening RedIRIS monitoring tools for affiliated institutions: -Migration of RedIRIS external monitoring platform (CA Spectrum based) to its own internal monitoring platform (also CA Spectrum based)
In this job I mainly collaborated in European Projects related to Network technologies. For these projects I used Verilog, C and bash scripting. During this period I also developed my PhD thesis. In my final paper I developed a POF simulator in MATLAB to test different buffering link level strategies that was made public with my article. On the teaching side, my duties in this job involved assisting in several courses related to networking technologies.

Guest Researcher
Stanford University
During this stay I developed a joint testbed between the UC3M and Stanford University for the European Project Fed4Fire. This collaboration included the design and deployment of an Emulab-based testbed to enable the access of external partners to the UltraFlow Stanford Optical Network testbed. I also started developing an optical network simulation model in C++ (OMNeT++) for PON networks.
Participation in several research projects, involving among others: -INDECT: Related to Packet inspection for the Lawful Interception of Communications. -PASITO: Collaboration project to provide virtual network testbeds for universities in Spain. This project was directed by the Spanish NREN operator, RedIRIS. My duties also involved managing the group's network infrastructure: LDAP, NFS, SSH, IP configuration, firewalling
