Gert's focus is on SAP's overall, external communication initiatives for SAP's Security and Data Protection & Privacy approach, including executive communications. He provides analysis and insight of the market forces, customer consumption models, and industry technology trends, affecting the success of SAP as a trusted innovator. Gert manages revenue-related global initiatives across various industries and lines of businesses, and develops and drives messaging and positioning for the security areas of SAP.

Responsible for the global marketing activities of SAP's security product lines, SAP's product security area, and the security-relevant parts of SAP NetWeaver technology platform. Activities include customer engagements, messaging & positioning, roll-in & roll out initiatives, market research, analyses to identify new market opportunities, as well as representing a media/analyst spokesperson for the above mentioned areas.
