During my last seven years experience I took notice of the adversarial relationship created when separate architecture firms and general contractors are brought together to complete a project. The owner, wanting the best price, trusts the architect to keep plans within budget. However, when the plans are turned over to the contractor thousands of dollars later, there are missing items and issues left un-addressed.This results in costly change orders and can really break one’s budget.

My diversified work experiences have allowed me to become knowledgeable in a variety of complex construction projects while gaining the practical experience of construction management techniques. My experiences include exposure to a very broad scope of the construction field; from site work, retail, hospitality, health care and airport. I have had a great deal of experience dealing with municipalities, architectural and engineering firms, clients and subcontractors.

Responsible for designing the blast-proof Control Building and the Electrical Substation of a DM 430 Mi project for the installation of an Acrylic Acid unit and a Butyl Acrylate unit at the BSL (Buna Sow Oelfinverbund) facility. In addition, supporting the permit work, approving authority, developing all execution drawings, reviewing structural steel shop drawings, coordinating project communications between the Houston/USA and Leipzig/Germany offices and providing construction/field support.

Prepares preliminary design sketches for large and more complex projects, including cost estimates. Following project approval, prepares the final designs, including the required drafting and specifications.

Engineering involvement including designing and preparing study drawings through to final detail drawings for various projects. Old people home, Cologne, Germany. BAYER AG (Administration building, Laboratories) - Leverkusen, Germany. Secondary school, Cologne, Germany. Mainly responsible for execution and detail drawing.

Responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies for a housing project in New Delhi, India. The assignment required coordination with international agencies, estimating financial resources and preparation of reports. Also, I supervised on site for a multinational work force / team of volunteers and local workers.

On assignment to the UNICEF-MECC joint venture project, responsible for various projects from study stage through to construction work including site supervision.coordination of all services to ensure successful implementation on site for various reconstruction projects:Dialysis Center, Secondary Schools. New construction of Water Pump Station, Public Health School and various Sanitary Projects.
