While continuing my research and development activities, I take care of component and system testing to ensure compliance with ISO standards for medical devices.

Material research and testing, SolidWorks design, Python programming for signal post-processing and GUI design.

I carried out complex classification and search work on patent applications and proposed improvements on the classification scheme in the field of Medical and Consumer Technology, with a special focus on Rehabilitation and Sporting Apparatuses. Additionally, I received a training on the procedures for granting, appealing and opposing a patent.

My tasks were: - Coordinating and assisting incoming international students and professors. - Organising welcome and orientation activities. - Managing the University English website and social networks' pages. - Translating communications, news, articles and programs for events and conferences.

I was part of the Spence Lab research-team carrying out an innovative and multidisciplinary Research Project in Neuromechanics and Optogenetics. The project aimed at using Optogenetics to investigate the role that neural control plays in mediating behaviour and locomotion, with ultimate goal gaining important insights on the mechanisms of neuromechanical control for a better understanding of, and treatment for, a variety of movement and behavioural disorders.
