Dr. Gizem Simsek Hatipoglu

I’m a member of Energy Storage and Electrochemical Energy Transforming Technologies team. I have responsibilities in the different activities for the projects (“Development Lithium Ion Cells and Battery for Satellite (IMECE)”) as assistant project manager. Developing anode active materials such as silicon, silicon/carbon composite materials, graphene and MWCNTs supported materials are my lab activities for R&D.

Permanent academic position. The tasks include various teaching and research duties such as writing and marking exams in material  metallurgical engineering.

Two subjects whose names are “antimicrobial materials” and “zeolit” were examined. Literature research and experimental studies were handled. After internship, the subject whose name is “Biodegradable Plastic Materials” was studied and that is my B.Sc. thesis.

During my Ph.D. education, I have taken charges in graphene production with Hummers method, silicon based electrode active material preparations, characterizations and their realization, planning and evaluation stages of graphene based silicon/carbon anode battery projects.

Thesis is completed under the supervision of Professor Doctor Hüseyin Ünal by June, 2014. The project includes the design, manufacturing, tribological and mechanical characteristics of Polyphthalamide composites.

Thesis is completed under the supervision of Dr. Serdar Pirtini. The subject of thesis is The Effect of Country of Origin Image on Brand Image from A Strategic Marketing Perspective and An Investigation.

Degree in material science and engineering education. Mechanical, thermal and microstructure characterization of materials education. Polymers, ceramics and metals were examined.
