Managed client’s backup environment using Dell EMC Avamar, Networker, and Data Domains to backup and restore thousands of physical and virtual servers, both Windows and Linux. Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the myriad systems including VMware and Windows Server systems using SCOM as the main monitoring tool and the client’s Aspen IT ticketing system. Liaised with numerous departments and organisations both within and outside the client organisation to quickly resolve any identified issues.

Accepted a five-month contract to cover long service leave, I provided 2nd and 3rd level support for all BreastScreen Victoria’s IT infrastructure, at multiple sites. My contract was extended by a month as I was asked to continue with and complete a project to migrate the production virtual servers from a VMware 5.5 infrastructure to the new VMware 6.0 Enterprise infrastructure, including creating new storage pools and LUNs on the new EMC VNX5400 SAN. I then built a new virtual "DevTest" environment.
