Gökay Karayeğen

Upon completion of my undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering, I worked as a field service engineer for almost two years. During this time, I was responsible for maintenance, installation, and software updates of some specific medical devices. While I was working as a service engineer, I was also studying for my master’s degree. After I received my master of science in biomedical engineering, I started my doctorate without losing time and decided to change my career direction and work as an academic. While continuing my doctoral studies, I worked as an instructor in the Department of Biomedical Equipment Technology at Baskent University from January 2017 to October 2021. I was promoted to the position of doctor faculty member in October 2021 and I have been working in the same position since. The main research of my thesis focused on brain tumor prediction on MR images by using deep learning, volume calculation, and 3D modeling.
