Senior legal advisor to high-growth digital media and devices businesses. I am responsible for structuring and executing (cross-border) (media-for-equity) transactions and investments in the area of corporate law, advertising law and media law. I lead negotiations on legal and commercial terms and conditions, draft contracts, as well as assess the economic and legal validity of each deal. Furthermore, I advise group subsidiaries in Germany and Switzerland on daily legal and commercial issues and communicate with internal as well as external business partners.

I advice media companies, artists and entrepreneurs on all legal as well as business matters (Northside Media Group, Ryan Star, The Aphrodelics). I lead various complex settlement and contract negotiations and assisted in the organization of various music and film festivals as well as start-up events (NY TechCrunch Disrupt, Northside Festival).

I advised clients on all areas of IP law, specifically trademark and media law as well as data protection law. I assisted in trademark proceedings before the EU and German trademark offices, handled trademark clearances and was coordinating and drafting due diligence IP-reports in cross-border transactions. I also advise clients in are European and German telecommunication law, design law and copyright law and was handling the Pro-Bono department (restitution claims for Jewish victims of the NS regime).

Drafted memoranda and licensing, production and distribution contracts and assisted the General Counsel in a broad range of legal issues including intellectual property law, commercial law and real estate law.

Drafted memoranda and writs on a wide range of issues including entertainment law, intellectual property law, antitrust law and unfair competition law. Co-wrote and edited a “Comparative Guide on Intellectual Property Law Issues for Participants of Trade-fairs in Germany and China”.

Drafted administrative acts, writs and memoranda and assisted the General Counsel on issues regarding German administrative law and the German Film Subsidy Code.

Worked in the ‘Department for Narcotics’, drafted arraignments and represented the Prosecution Office on numerous occasions in criminal proceedings.
