internship in the Marker Assisted Selection department, mainly focus on genetic analysis on pepper: • Improving the integrated genetic map • Performing simulations to optimize the current QTL mapping process • Mapping the recombination hotspots During the internship, I also participated in the transition of our company from Bayer to BASF. It is a very unique experience in which I learned a lot about company asset transition.

Assisting molecular researches on Rice Stripe Virus (RSV) and Rice Black Streaked Dwarf Virus (RBSDV): • Grasping operative techniques of molecular cloning, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, the dot immunobinding assay (DIBA) etc; • Using viruliferous Laodelphax striatellus to inoculate the healthy rice; • Taking rice cultivation technology into field experiments; • Assisting bioinformatic data analysis
