Hafiz Muhammad Afzal

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Georesources and Environment at the University of Greifswald, Germany. This interdisciplinary program focuses on the sustainable use and management of natural resources, combining elements of geology, environmental science, and resource economics. As part of my Master’s thesis, I am working on the development of high-strength geopolymer cements using dehydroxylated Friedland Clay and alkaline activation.

I completed my bachelor's degree in Applied Geology, where I gained a strong foundation in earth sciences, mineralogy, petrology, and geotechnical investigations. The program emphasized practical fieldwork, geological mapping, and laboratory techniques, which helped me develop essential skills in rock and mineral identification, structural analysis, and resource exploration. This background laid the groundwork for my interest in sustainable resource management and environmental geoscience.
